CGS is PSiRA-registered with PSiRA No: 4343438, and all our operational staff are PSIRA-registered.
All weapons are registered with SAPS and stored, issued, and serviced as prescribed by South African law.
Yes, as part of the employment process all staff are required to present a SAPS clearance certificate.
All CGS staff undergo regular evaluations in addition to attending training and refresher courses on a regular basis pertaining to their area of operation. This ensures all operational staff is up to date with the latest updated practices.
Control centre operatives are trained and examined in order to adhere to the POPI act.
Control room operators are trained in their field prior to employment and undergo a comprehensive course orientating them with our systems and ways of operating. This includes rigorous training pertaining to confidentiality, privacy, and adhering to POPI guidelines.
All new security operators work with an experienced member of staff until CGS are certain they are able to operate on their own. As with all other officers, they are monitored using GPS positioning as well as body cameras to ensure full transparency across the team.
As per PSIRA guidelines, all occurrences and activations are monitored and logged by our control center using footage and occurrence entries by security operators.
